Little did we know how prophetic the title of our last post was. Still, our spirits aren't entirely dampened, so here is news of what our members are up to in July (when they are not trotting off on holiday etc). Alison Carthy continues exhibiting at the Platform Gallery in Clithero, running until the middle of July. July 1st-7th sees Homfirth artWEEK and Fringe. Sheila Spencer, Sue Evans and Amy Jones will be exhibiting as part of the the main exhibition at Holmfirth Civic Hall, and Alison Carthy will be in the Fringe, exhibiting with 'Lateral' at the Riverside Shopping Centre. Ann Parkin (along with the rest of the Alive and Stitching girls) has an exhibition of lovely textile work, running at the Orangery in Wakefield until 28th July. They will also be a part of the Wakefield Art Walk on the evening of 25th July (5–9pm). July 11th to Sept 30th, Yvonne North Moorhouse is exhibiting as part of "Colour & Form" at NeST Gallery, Barnard Castle, Co. Durham
