                                                        About Pennine Artists

'Pennine Artists' is a network of artists and craftspeople of all ages, and experiences.  We seek members with significant artistic and/or creative capabilities and who produce high quality work.  If you fit the bill, why not apply to join us?

Our aims are to promote the creative work of members, to share knowledge, contacts and opportunities, and to seek new opportunities for the group and as individual members.

The group meets monthly, alternating between Wednesdays and Thurdays.  Although there is formal group business to cover, the events are also social gatherings.  Whatever, we usually discuss each others’ current creative endeavours, about which we have a shared interest.

We hold a variety of Classes/Workshops, some given by our members and, occasionally, organise a guest tutor to hold a workshop for our members.

Occasionally the group comes together in part or whole to  stage group events as we feel inclined.  Take a look at the Events page for details of past and upcoming events, and at the Group's and Members' blogs for 'chit chat'.

Contact us if you want to know more.  We'd love to hear from you.

                                                        Constitutional Matters

The official posts of Chair, Secretary, Treasurer, and Email secretary will be taken for a maximum of two years.  Anyone wishing to take on a role after one year may ask to be considered for it and a vote will be taken.

The agenda for the monthly business meeting will be distributed the weekend before the meeting.  Items for inclusion on the agenda must be submitted beforehand, with sufficient detail for members to appreciate fully the significance of what is to be discussed.  Members not able to attend the meeting should make their views (if any) known to the Secretary by email.

The quorum for formal business decisions, especially on matters of finance, branding and membership, is one third of the membership (rounded up).  Votes so taken will be binding on the Group, provided that proper notice of the business discussed had been made available to all members via the agenda before the meeting.
