Lampwork Artist

I work with both soft and borosilicate glass, combining lampwork and cold working techniques to create a variety of jewellery and sculptural pieces.

My range of interchangeable Alcazar jewellery showcases the strength of versatility in modern times, whereas the Wordsmith series is inspired by my love of words and the impact they have on people.

Living on the edge of the Peak District, I am drawn to natural, organic forms in my sculptures, often mixing glass with living plants in one sculpture, such as my air plants or glowing moss pieces. I prefer working in clear glass, using both soft glass and borosilicate to stylise and represent forms of nature.

But even more so, I am interested in people and their stories. Language, history and personality have a great fascination for me, and both words and people feature heavily in my work.

My work has been published and exhibited through a number of outlets both in the UK and abroad.
