Wonderfully Made 2011

We are delighted that, once again, our friends at All Saints Church in the village of Silkstone will be hosting Wonderfully Made.

Just like last year, we will be filling the church with a splendid array of superb arts and crafts, all produced by local artists and makers.  It is, of course, timed for anyone who is looking to buy that "something special for Christmas".

Forget the high-street hum-drum; come and find a treat that will be treasured.  There will be items for every pocket:  from major artworks to trinkets for a few pounds.

Anyone that came previously will know that the quality of work on display will be a cut above that found in most art markets.  We are pleased that the list of exhibitors includes many from last year plus several carefully selected newcomers.

There will be pots and paintings, jugs and jewellery, bowls and bags, boxes and books, carvings and constructions, photographs, felts and fiddlers.

Fiddlers?  Yes, we will also be having a variety of musical entertainments for your enjoyment while you browse.

If you fancy having a fiddle yourself, many of our exhibitors wil be giving demonstrations of their craft and will be happy to give advice, and there are even a few workshops.

If you can't take the excitement, there will be light refreshments available.  But if excitement is what you need, each of the exhibitors is donating a piece for the raffle, so there will be some excellent prizes to be won.

Once again, raffle proceeds and 10% of all sales will be donated to support the Church's projects.
